Spring breakin' your spine

Hello all, I hope you have had a good weed, it's Friday YAAAAAAAYYY!!!, anyway I don't know about any of you, or if you're even in school, but this week was my spring break from college. And to be honest, I really didn't do anything that exciting other than go to work, and get drunk. So it was actually pretty normal.

But besides all of that I wanted to share some music with you guys today (of course).
And I wanted to start your day of with something a little up beat, so here is song number 1 of the day

Wooooooo! nothing like a little James Brown in the morning. but that was just a song I had floating in my head this morning, I'm sure everyone knows it so my last song today will be something a little more under the radar perhaps. And here it is:

The story behind this song is that one morning after a night of partying, my friends and I woke up and my friend wanted a song for the morning and typed in "morning song" on youtube and somehow found this and instantly it became one of our favorite songs ever, so I hope you guys enjoy it.

P.S. thanks for all the awesome comments on my bro's sub it made him feel good.

SUCCESS!!

Alright, I know I've been talking about my brother's subwoofer project and I told you guys I would post some videos of it when it was finally installed. Well, here it is the kicker 12", with a tiny little 350 watt amp. This is the first subwoofer I have ever installed and the project went actually pretty smooth. It was a hell of a lot easier than I thought it would be.

You'll have to keep in mind that my EVO was not meant for recording this kind of bass and it sounds like total shit, but I promised I would put up videos so here you guys go.

If you want to hear the song that's in the video this is it

Let me know what you guys think.

Sup Guys...

Hello all, I know it has been a few days since I have made a post but I haven't forgotten you guys. Lately I've been super ass busy with school. I have a ton of shows coming up and a recording session. Also tons of Homework, you know how it is.

Anyway, today I want to talk about something actually fun I did yesterday. My 17 year old brother got his very first car subwoofer for his birthday early in February, and needless to say he was very very excited. Now I will admit when it comes to car audio I am clueless, give me a peice of recording equipment or something used live and I can handle that. So yesterday, after many, many youtube videos we finally mustered up the bravery to tackle this beast. It took us about 2 hours total which I thought was pretty good for a first time.

After my brother had waited for about a month to get this thing installed he was sooooo pumped to finally hear the delicous boom, and we went to plug the head unit in and connect all the wires when he realizes the power connector to the head unit is missing, a.k.a his cheap fat friend didn't give it to him when he bought it.

So, now we are back to square one, well not really because the amp and sub are nicely connected we just have to figure out what to do about the head unit.

That's my story for the day. I will keep you guys updated on the subwoofer issue and hopefully post some videos of it.
Thanks

And like always I will leave you with a song for the day, and since I'm feeling good about the day (I got paid today) I'm going to choose "Melancholy Hill" by Gorillaz.
Have a good one

Work Today

I know I've told you that I am a student at Gainesville State College, but like pretty much every college student I also have a part time job. My part time job is that I work at party city.

Yes I get to blow balloons up and get paid. Don't get me wrong though I hate working in retail and can't wait to be able to find another way to make money. Hopefully by playing music somehow.

Well Since I'm in kind of a hurry today I just wanted to post two songs for you guys today. The first one is what I have to listen to every 20 or so minutes while I am working at party city, and the second selection is what I feel like whenever I hear the first song.

The name of the Darkthrone song translated to English means "Checkmate Jesus Christ"

Mike Patton

Alright, today I want to stray a bit from the classical style of music and shift to something a little more on the wild side. For those of you who don't know who Mike Patton is, you probably know him as the lead singer of "Faith no More". Which is the band he is most famous for. However, he is in my mind the Frank Zappa of his generation. He has been involved with groups such as: Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom, Dillinger Escape Plan, and he has also collaborated with Bjork.

Mike Patton is one of my personal heroes for many reasons, and I hope you will take some time to look at more of his work because I cannot explain his greatness myself you will just have to find out for yourself.

I will leave you all with one sample of Mike Patton.
